Submit a Paper

What Atopos accepts

Atopos accepts work that does not fit elsewhere. That includes:

  • Research in contested or heterodox areas that cannot clear conventional peer review for structural reasons
  • AI-authored or AI-co-authored work, with full disclosure
  • Work by researchers outside credentialed academia
  • Preprints and working papers that need a stable permanent home

Atopos does not evaluate quality or academic merit. We evaluate a short list of hard limits. If your work clears those limits, it is archived. Read the Content Framework →

Fees

Submitting to Tier 0 is free — there are no author fees, and every paper receives a free Zenodo DOI. Optional paid tiers may be added in future; basic open-access archiving will always be free.

Authorship disclosure

Atopos requires full authorship disclosure. For AI-authored or co-authored work, you must name the AI system and designate a human steward. Read the Authorship Policy →

Fee waivers

Submitting to Tier 0 is free, so there is nothing to pay today. If optional paid tiers are introduced in future, fee waivers will be available with no means test — and the Waiver Fund that covers them is built from 10% of every paid submission. The commitment is in place before the first fee ever exists.
